Evil Does Not Win

Evil Does Not Win, by Gregory A. Johnson

We are reminded daily of how evil destroys lives. As a result, many live in fear instead of faith. Fear says that evil wins. Faith knows that evil never wins.

Please know today that if you have fear in your life, it is not of God. God does not want you to live in fear. Evil wants you to live in fear.

Fear comes when our focus is no longer on Jesus and following him. When a person is living in fear, they lose sight that the best in their life is yet to come.

The next time evil comes knocking and fear starts to take over your thoughts, stop it. Just, stop it. Refuse to go there. Instead of giving it any energy, thank God for all he has done for you, all he is doing for you, and all he will do for you. You are his child created in his image, and he loves you.

God's word, the Bible, tells us that "There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD (Proverbs 21:30)." Friend, you can count on that!

Jesus came into our world and defeated the evil planned against him. At the cross of Christ, it didn't look good. It looked like evil had won. The disciples hid in fear instead of having faith in what Jesus had taught them. Three days later, Jesus revealed that he is the victor over evil. No evil plan, not even death, can succeed against him. Our victory is in Jesus.

Beloved, evil does not win. It never has, and it never will. It thrives in the fear that it breeds. Do not allow it any place in your day or in your life. Stay focused on Jesus. He assures your victory today and every day as you follow him.
